1861-O 50C CSA Obverse AU55 PCGS. FS-401, formerly FS-007. Wiley-11a, which he believes was struck following the four legendary Confederate States of America halves. Wiley-11 was struck prior to the CSA halves, and the CSA issue (Wiley-12) shares the obverse of Wiley-11 and 11a. Wiley-11a is distinguished by the absence of a tine from the peak of the second 1 in the date, combined with the presence of a die crack from the nose to 11 o'clock. Golden-brown, powder-blue, and ruby-red adorn the margins. Only lightly abraded, and the devices and borders exhibit luster.
From The Madison Collection.

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
