<B><I>The Kenosha Telegraph</B></I></B></I> <B>- 1861 Wisconsin Newspaper</B></I> printing an important message from President Lincoln to both houses of Congress. This message, given on July 4, 1861 starts on page one after the war news and continues on page two. There is a very pro-Lincoln editorial also on page two that states: "The message which will be found in this paper, is the most interesting public document which has appeared from any chief Executive of the Union since the adoption of the Constitution. It gives a brief and comprehensive history of the cause of the present war, and fixes unmistakedly the responsibility of the seceding States for the present troubles of the country..." This four page issue dated July 11th is 20" x 25" in size and in fine condition.
