THOMAS JONATHAN “STONEWALL” JACKSON (1824-1863). Civil War Confederate Corps Commanding General, best known CSA commander following Robert E. Lee.
June 24, 1861-Dated Early Civil War Date, Autograph Letter Signed, “T. J. Jackson”, 1 page, measuring 7.75” x 9.75”, at Head Quarters, 1st Brigade, Camp Stephens (Virginia), Choice Very Fine. Nicely and well Handwritten by Jackson on fine quality lined wove period paper. Here, Stonewall Jackson writes to Mr. J. H. Myers. It reads, in full:

“If I have any deposit in your Bank, please to inform me of the amount. If I have none, please send me a Blank note in order that I may fill it up & draw, as my funds are low. Please remember me very kindly to your family. Very Truly your friend, (Signed) T.J. Jackson.” (Added Postscript) “Direct your answer to Martinsburg Berkley County.”
