<B>1861 $5 Clark, Gruber & Co. Five Dollar--Rims Filed, Cleaned--ANACS. VF30 Details.</B></I> K-6, R.4. Despite the notations on the ANACS insert, this is an attractive example of this elusive pioneer gold issue. The fields are unusually void of abrasions, and although designated as VF30 details, what appears to be wear is in most cases due to a soft central strike. Only faintly hairlined, and there is no obvious rim filing where the ANACS holder allows examination.
