The original is a life size oil painting, made from sittings during the presidential campaign of 1860, and is believed to be the work of Harry Wright, a local artist.

The Frame is made of a piece of oak from the original flooring in Lincoln’s first law office. Stuart and Lincoln formed a partnership in 1837 and occupied an office room in “Hoffmans Row” now known as 109 N. 5th St. This building was remodeled in 1905 and the wood forming this frame was obtained by me at that time. Barker is the author of “Abraham Lincoln: His Life in Illinois.” A rare opportunity for specialized Lincoln collectors and the first we have offered.
