1860's James Naismith as a Child Archive. The prehistory of basketball appears in the form of a carte de visite photograph of James and his sister Annie. Notation on verso of the 2.5x4" card in an unknown hand reads "Annie and James Naismith, about 1864," making James about three years old. Joining this VG-EX image are a pair of monthly report cards each for both James and Annie (four postcards total), dating from the 1869 school year. Two are signed by Naismith's mother and two by his father. All show mild staining and/or fold separation, but still present very well. Each measures approximately 4x6.5".

Shipping: Small Flat (view shipping information)
