Small Cents 1860 Pointed Bust. PCGS graded Mint State 65. <b>Sometimes referred to as Type 1, this is the narrow but point variety in use since 1858 (on the patterns). All 1859-dated cents use this hub; the change to the broad bust point was made early in the production of this year's coinage. A possible reason for the change was to increase die life. Snow describes the Pointed Bust variety as "A very scarce and desirable hub variety."
