1860 Henry rifle 2nd model .44 Henry rimfire caliber remaining in very good plus original condition, serial number 6931. The barrel shows 10% to 20% original blue mixed in with a brown patina with some scattered lighterosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The edges of the metal is sharp and there is some bright areas of blue were protected. The barrel address is sharp and clear and the original rear sight is retained. The frame is also very good plus to near fine condition with a mellow patina and tight fitting side plates that show very little wear at the edges. The hammer and lever show slight traces of case hardening within their patina. The stock is slightly better than average quality and shows a slight burl grain with considerable original varnish remaining at least 30% to 50% with some minor scratches and marks and the butt plate and stock match. There is one area of compression on the right side of the stock which is about 1” x 1/4” were something heavy was laid against the wood.
