1860 H10C Transitional MS64 NGC. Judd-267, Pollock-315, R.4. A well-known and popular muling of the Type of 1859 obverse and Type of 1860 reverse subtypes. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is omitted, since it was in transition from the reverse to the obverse between 1859 and 1860. The Transitional issue also has the curious hollow-center obverse stars, found on the 1859 half dime. Allegedly, 100 examples of this coin were struck during James Ross Snowden's tenure as Mint director. This piece has attractive russet, plum, and navy-blue toning. Typically struck but beautifully preserved. Census: 12 in 64, 25 finer (3/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
