1860 G$1 PR64 Cameo PCGS. From a relatively high proof mintage for the era of 154 pieces, Garrett and Guth (2006) estimate that probably 25 to 30 coins still survive "in collector's hands." This example has a remarkably fine appearance that instantly highlights the contrasting fields and devices on either side. The striking details are unimpeachable, as one would hope for a proof. Shallow marks on Liberty's jaw and in the left obverse field seemingly limit the grade of this otherwise pleasing specimen. A patch of interesting roller marks (as struck) is noted near the center of the reverse, extending through the LL in DOLLAR. Population: 1 in 64 Cameo, 2 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
