1860 Cavalry Officer’s pattern sabre with etched blade marked “W.H. Horstmann & Sons, Phila” with Kings Head, Solingen blade stamp. The sword is in very good condition with just normal use and natural aging withuntouched patina; very pleasing appearance; sword knot and partial hanger; blade shows fancy etching slight erosion and staining; blade is 35-1/2” with the sword 41-1/2” overall. From an old collection in Auburn, CA in the heart of the Gold Country. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
