<B>1860-C $2 1/2 AU53 NGC.</B></I> Variety 19-J. The last C-mint quarter eagle, and as such always a popular issue. This piece shows a pair of curious, canal-shaped depressions, clearly Mint-made, running through Liberty's mouth and cheek, but much luster radiates from the surfaces. The obverse strike is a bit weak on Liberty's lower curls and neck, but all of the star centrils are present.
