<B>1860 $5 AU58 NGC.</B></I> A low mintage issue but unheralded as such because it lacks a mintmark, the 1860 half eagle is nonetheless rare in any grade. The present example offers much prooflikeness and considerable cameo contrast, along with light yellow-gold and lilac patina. Light, even ticks appear under a loupe, but the strike is sharp and the eye appeal is extremely high.
