<B>1860 1C Pointed Bust MS65 PCGS.</B></I> This is an important opportunity for the advanced collector. The Pointed Bust variety of this date is seldom seen in any grade, and is rare in Gem quality. This is from the first obverse hub in use, later being replaced by the Rounded Bust hub. Walter Breen wrote in his <I>Complete Encyclopedia</B></I> that both proofs and business strikes were known, however, no proofs have been located. This Gem has wonderful frosty tan luster with some weakness of strike noticed at the top of each feather in the headdress. The fields are immaculate, and only the most trivial imperfections are found on the portrait.
