<B>1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-245, Pollock-301, 303, Low R.6, PR64 NGC.</B></I> The obverse features the "French Head" of Liberty facing right. A large eagle with a heraldic shield dominates the reverse. The eagle clutches a ribbon in its beak, and the claws grasp an olive branch and three long arrows. The "Perfect Ribbon" subvariety is characterized by four vertical lines in the shield, seven tail feathers, pointed left (observer's right) wingtip, and full leaf above the A in HALF. Struck in silver with a reeded edge.
