<B>1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-236, Pollock-283, 285, R.5, PR64 Brown PCGS.</B></I> The obverse has Paquet's design with a seated figure of Liberty facing to the left, a fasces supported by her right hand and a shield by her left hand. Around, 13 stars and below, the date. The reverse shows an eagle and shield with olive and arrows in the claws. The beak holds a ribbon inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM. Around, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA with the denomination HALF DOLLAR below. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This piece was struck from the "Perfect Ribbon" reverse that shows a full ribbon, pointed wingtips, and four vertical lines in the shield. The fields are nicely reflective and the surfaces overall are medium brown with underlying blue patina.
