1859-O H10C MS66 PCGS. The mintage of the 1859-O was a sizeable 560,000 pieces. Several dozen pieces are known in mint condition, thus placing this issue in the "slightly better date" category according to Al Blythe (1992). The most plentiful grades in Uncirculated are MS63 to MS64, and there is a sharp dropoff above the near-Gem level. Only seven pieces have been graded MS66 by both PCGS and NGC combined, and there is only one 1859-O that is finer, an NGC MS68. The mint luster on this piece is nothing short of extraordinary, which is saying a lot for a New Orleans product. Speckled, multicolored toning overlies the bright, flashy luster on the obverse with much brilliance still present. The reverse displays a rose center with sea-green peripheral color. Sharply defined.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
