<B>1859-O H10C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The 1859 New Orleans half dime is a difficult coin to obtain in the better grades of Uncirculated. Fewer than 15 MS65 coins have been seen by PCGS and NGC, and less than 10 Premium Gems; a solitary example grades higher. The MS66 specimen in this lot displays gray-mauve patination that is accented on the obverse with splotches of red, yellow-gold, and green, and with blushes of light green on the reverse. Lustrous surfaces are without mentionable marks, and illustrate well impressed motifs.
