1859 John K. Curtis, New York, NY, Miller-NY-180, MS64 Brown NGC. Copper. This token has to be one of the finest MS64 tokens that we have come across, offering semiprooflike fields with deep orange surfaces enhanced by blue and purple toning. The token features a Colonial man sitting at a table looking through a magnifying glass at some coins. Below is THE ANTIQUARY and the date 1859, and around A REAL ANTIQUE, BUT ALAS! IT IS INDECYPHERABLE. Curtis was an early jeweler and numismatist at 35 Bleecker Street, and this was his advertising card.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
