<B>1859-C G$1 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 11-M. Generally poorly struck and produced from inferior planchet stock, the '59-C has become a real challenge for collectors to locate in problem-free condition in any grade. The center of the reverse is weakly defined on this piece as are the hair curls on Liberty. However, the satiny surfaces are remarkably free from any large or distracting abrasions. Mint State pieces are genuinely scarce, and MS63 is the top grade level that a mere three examples have achieved, all three at PCGS. This MS62 offering represents a conditionally elite group.
