1859 $3 MS64 PCGS. Surviving 1859 three dollar gold pieces are well distributed throughout the grading spectrum, from VG8 to MS67. Better grade Uncirculated pieces are somewhat elusive. They may also be weakly struck on the 8 and 5 of the date and on the wreath bow. The near-Gem presented in this lot is well defined in these areas, as well as on the remaining design elements. Glowing luster adorns yellow-gold surfaces that are accented with wisps of orange and light green. Light die striations are evident in the fields, indicating an earlier strike, and both sides are well preserved. Population: 13 in 64, 7 finer (4/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
