<B>1859 $2 1/2 Old Reverse, Type One MS63 PCGS.</B></I> This scarce variety was not recognized until the 1960s, and Mint State examples are rare. Just four pieces have been graded at MS63, by PCGS, with only three coins finer. The NGC population is even thinner: two coins at MS63 and only one at MS64 (12/07). This Select Mint State survivor is boldly struck, except for the lower parts of the eagle, with intense satiny mint luster and lovely copper-gold color.
