<B>1859 $2 1/2 Old Reverse, Type One MS61 PCGS.</B></I> The lowest arrowhead nearly touches the final A in AMERICA, characteristic of the Type One reverse. The mintage of 39,364 pieces was presumably divided unevenly between the Type One and Type Two varieties, since the latter is considerably less scarce. This dusky Type One piece is well struck and lacks highpoint friction. Smooth for the grade despite remote obverse marks near 7:30.
