<B>1859 $2 1/2 Old Reverse, Type One AU55 PCGS.</B></I> Lightly worn with small surface blemishes and pleasing rose-gold coloration. This is an elusive variety in all grades. Purchased in the 1930's at face value by Karl Stecher Sr. from coins turned in by the public as per President Roosevelt's March 9, 1933 directive. A collector's envelope with the notation "1859 2.50 v.f." accompanies the lot.
