<B>1859<10C> MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Just 430,000 Seated dimes were produced by the Philadelphia Mint in 1859, and the issue should only be considered common in grades below VF. A conditionally scarce Premium Gem, both sides display shimmering luster and delightful variegated peripheral toning. Die lines (as struck) are noted near the upper obverse border. Nicely struck in the centers, but very soft on the peripheral devices. There are no surface distractions on either side, as befits the technical grade that has been assigned. Population: 19 in 66, 13 finer (9/06).
