1859<10C> MS66 PCGS. It appears that a substantial number of coins from this issue were saved as the last of their kind, being from the final year of the Stars Obverse type. However, the quantity of pieces preserved in high grades is definitely lower than the number of collectors who desire high grade examples. This coin is lavishly toned in shades of purple-rose, cobalt-blue, and golden-silver, and displays bright, satiny luster that is unbroken by any noticeable abrasions. Somewhat irregularly defined, with weakness noted on the obverse stars, Liberty's head, and TED STAT. A small milling mark on Liberty's leg, just above the knee, seems insufficiently distracting to cast doubt upon the coin's Premium Gem status.
