Half Dimes 1858 NGC graded Mint State 65. <b>"Stars on Obverse" Type that was employed on America's half dimes in the years 1840-59. Brilliant with semiprooflike field and satiny frost on Liberty; minor die clashing seen in the reverse field where a ghost image of Liberty is faintly present. Gobrecht's Liberty seated design of 1837 was reconfigured by Robert Ball Hughes at the mint's request in 1840. This specimen has unusual sharp rim denticles on both sides; from 1840 through 1858, weak uneven striking are the norm and it is rare to find a well struck coin such as this Gem.</b> <p align="center">Superior Galleries was founded in 1929 and has been a leader in
