1858-S 10C MS61 NGC. After striking its first Seated dimes in 1856, the fledgling San Francisco Mint skipped 1857 before producing the denomination again in 1858. Both issues are rare, as only 70,000 pieces of the 1856-S were made, along with 60,000 examples of the 1858-S. This example offers strictly Mint State surfaces, and despite the somewhat drab luster created by the deep steel-gray and copper toning, the piece appears somewhat undergraded. There are a few noticeable abrasions on Liberty's legs, but the strike is bold and the reverse is choice for the grade. Census: 1 in 61, 2 finer (4/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
