<B>1858<P1C> Indian Cent, Judd-213, Pollock-252, PR62 NGC.</B></I> Snow-PT30, R.7. Snow writes, "The adopted head used in 1859 and 1860 (Type 1). Much scarcer than the broad bust point combinations. Probably no more than 10 examples struck." The Narrow bust point, low leaves subvariety of Judd-213. The denomination appears to be mis-aligned, with ONE a little too far to the left above CENT. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. A tall wire rim is present across most of the reverse and on the obverse between 12 and 3 o'clock, and the reverse rim is sharply beveled, as made, between 6 and 9 o'clock, features for study by the specialist. This golden-brown piece is sharply struck but ONE CENT appears lightly hubbed. Several wispy pinscratches across the central reverse limit the grade.
