<B>1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-211, Pollock-255, 262, R.4, PR63 PCGS.</B></I> The obverse of this popular pattern displays James Longacre's Indian Head motif that appears on the production cent of 1859. The reverse shows a thick oak wreath not unlike that which the Mint would mate with a shield for its 1860 cent production. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Struck from the dies with the date centered, and as such is the more frequently encountered of the two date variants of this pattern.
