 1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-206, P
<B>1858<P1C> Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-206, Pollock-242, R.5, PR64 NGC.</B></I> Snow-PT16, Die Pair 1. The regular issue Low Leaves, Open E (in ONE) reverse is paired with Paquet's smaller flying eagle motif. The tall, thin obverse letters are reminiscent of those on the famous 1861 Paquet Reverse double eagle. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Originally sold to select collectors as part of a 12-coin pattern cent set. This lovely piece has subtle orange and steel-blue colors, and the appearance is exemplary to the unaided eye. A couple of wispy obverse hairlines are detected with a loupe.
