1858 $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. A sharply struck piece with satiny surfaces and lovely yellow-gold luster. The Philadelphia Mint produced large quantities of gold during the first few years of the decade, a result of the increased supply of gold from California. By 1858, that source had diminished considerably, and production was back to the levels of earlier years, such as the mintage of 47,377 pieces for this issue. Population: 10 in 63, 6 finer (1/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
