<B>1857-S $3 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Most examples of this Western issue are heavily circulated, hailing from an era when collecting coins by mintmark had not yet caught collectors' fancy. The surfaces of this pretty example are somewhat prooflike, with a few light abrasions but no singular marks, and much eye appeal is present.
