<B>1857-S<$20> Spiked Shield MS64 PCGS.</B></I> SSCA 0307. Luster sweeps across this dusky golden-gray near-Gem. Like many examples from the <I>S.S. Central America</B></I> shipwreck, the present piece is the Spiked Shield variety, named for a hair-thin die line that penetrates the left border of the shield. The reverse is gorgeously preserved, and the obverse shows only faint grazes. <BR><I>From The Hamburg-Sonoma Collection.</B></I>
