<B>1857-S<$20> Narrow Serif MS64 PCGS.</B></I> SSCA 0495. Variety 20C. This radiant and lustrous representative is generally yellow-gold, although a faint blush of gray is noted on the field near the profile. The reverse is well preserved, while the obverse exhibits only unimportant grazes. The major shipwreck recoveries of double eagles: the <I>S.S. Central America,</B></I> the <I>Brother Jonathan,</B></I> and the <I>S.S. Republic,</B></I> were all distributed within a ten year period. No comparable hoards are likely to surface again.<BR><I>From The Hamburg-Sonoma Collection.</B></I>
