<B>1857-S<$20> Bold S MS65 PCGS.</B></I> SSCA 3057. Variety 20B. This splendid Gem possesses blazing luster, and the strike is penetrating. Neither the fields nor devices exhibit any relevant marks, and the clean surfaces provide exceptional eye appeal. A few golden-brown freckles are distributed. When the <I>S.S. Central America</B></I> double eagles were originally distributed, circa-2000, they were sold with an olive-green cardboard that contained a presentation faux book. Inside the book was a certificate of authenticity signed by Tommy Thompson, leader of the expedition that recovered the legendary shipwreck. A slot was also present for the coin within its PCGS holder. For the present lot, all of this packaging is intact, including the box, book, COA, and the coin itself, still housed in its yellow-label PCGS holder.
