<B>1857-S $20 Bold 7, Faint S MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: <I>S.S. Central America.</B></I> Variety 20D. SSCA 1314. The variety description refers to two opposing features. The date logotype was deeply impressed in the obverse die with the digit 7 especially bold and heavier than the other digits. The S mintmark was shallowly sunk into the reverse die, and appears faint in comparison to other varieties. Excellent surfaces display vibrant yellow-gold luster on both sides with swirling orange toning in the left obverse field.
