<B>1857 S$1 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> This moderately prooflike Seated dollar has streaks of light autumn-gold toning. The fields and devices are surprisingly free from marks, and a thin nick on the D in UNITED is mentioned solely to provide a pedigree reference. Liberty's hair and the eagle's neck are typically brought up, although much of the design is crisply struck. An important type coin in the MS64 grade, since even the "common" 1860-O is usually found well abraded.
