<B>1857-C $5 AU58 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 25-J. The surfaces of this near-Mint example exhibit significant luster around the margins. Sharply struck, as usually seen. The surfaces are not heavily abraded, and as such this is an atypical example. The only mentionable marks are a shallow scratch above the eagle's left (facing) wing and a planchet lamination on the eagle's neck. Rich reddish-gold color.
