<B>1857 $5 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> A minor scratch extending from star 2 into the field towards Liberty's chin resulted in the MS62 grade of this otherwise Select Uncirculated coin. The 1857 five is rare in Mint State, but of course the scant mintage of just 98,188 coins makes it a scarce coin in any grade. Lustrous surfaces and overall originality are the most positive characteristics of this example.
