<B>1857 25C MS67 <img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10> NGC.</B></I> Even though the 1857 quarter dollar is considered a common date, high quality Mint State examples are not often encountered. Splashes of electric-blue and orange-gold color dominate this shimmering and carefully preserved Superb Gem. The stars and dentils are needle-sharp, although the fletchings and Liberty's chest shows moderate incompleteness of strike. Both sides show considerable reflectivity in the fields. Struck from clashed dies. There are no unusual die characteristics visible on this example.
