<B>1857 1C MS65 PCGS.</B></I> This popular issue was initially heavily saved because of its novelty. The Gem presented in this sale is exceptionally well struck for the type. The eagle's plumage is crisp, save for minor softness on the end of the tail feathers. The entire reverse wreath is also sharp. Lustrous surfaces exhibit pretty golden-tan color, and are free of mentionable marks.
