1857 1C MS64 PCGS. Snow-21. This is the discovery coin of a new variety that will appear in the next update of Rick Snow's 1856-1858 attribution guide. The coin shows doubling on the obverse lettering and date that is strongest on the A in STATES. A photocopy of a letter from Rick Snow, describing the new variety, is included with the lot. The coin itself is generally well struck, except for noticeable weakness on the end of the eagle's tail. Bright satiny luster accompanies the golden-tan surfaces, which only show two or three microscopic marks on the obverse and scattered flyspecks on both sides.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
