1857 1/2 C PR64 Brown PCGS. C-1, B-2, R.4. The letters
1857<1/2 C> PR64 Brown PCGS. C-1, B-2, R.4. The letters CNT in CENT are recut, and the reverse is lightly strike doubled. Predominately a greenish-brown color, the fields have iridescent magenta-red, blue and gold undertoned as the coin turns under a light. The strike is amazingly sharp, with details on the wreath leaves and hair curls that no business strike could hope to approach. There is a raised, mint-made lintmark on Liberty's jaw, with the surfaces otherwise completely undisturbed. The last year of the denomination. EAC PR60+. Population: 13 in 64, 3 finer (7/06).
