<B>1856-S G$1 Type Two MS61 NGC.</B></I> Normal Mintmark. A second variety exists with a widely doubled mintmark, and the current population of coins is about evenly divided between the two different reverse dies. A prooflike Mint State example, this piece is nicely detailed with excellent eye appeal created by pleasing yellow-gold color. Both sides have light hairlines that keep this piece from a higher grade.
