<B>1856-S $3 AU53 NGC.</B></I> Medium S. The 1856-S has a relatively high mintage with 34,500 pieces struck, but the majority of the mintage was dropped into circulation. This piece shows slight evidence of highpoint wear with a fair amount of luster remaining around the margins.
