<B>1856-O 50C MS66 NGC.</B></I> The obverse of this highly lustrous Premium Gem is toned in dappled violet and cobalt-blue shades, while the reverse is coated in streakier amber and forest-green toning. As one might expect from an issue reporting a mintage in excess of 2.6 million pieces, the 1856-O is no stranger to our auctions, even in Uncirculated grades. However, at the MS66 tier only a handful of coins have been certified, one being the Foxfire specimen that realized over $8,900 in our June 2006 Long Beach Sale.
