<B>1856-O $2 1/2 AU58 NGC.</B></I> The 1856-O is easily the scarcest New Orleans Mint quarter eagle from the 1850s. The example offered here is toned in reddish, purple, and lime patina and shows minor wear on the highpoints. Only the eagle's neck feathers reveal any noticeable softness of strike.
