<B>1856 G$1 Slanted 5 MS68 PCGS.</B></I> A nearly immaculate green-gold Superb Gem with dazzling luster and immense eye appeal. The date is fully struck, and any incompleteness is noticeable only on the outer edges of the cotton leaves and on the U in UNITED. As is common for gold dollars from the 1850s, the reverse is clashed. The ERTY in LIBERTY is legible near the 6 in the date, and the outline of Liberty and her ear appears inverted and reversed within the wreath. The obverse field is also clashed, but to a much lesser degree; perhaps the obverse die was better hardened.
