1856 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1856 quarter, from a mintage of 7.264 million pieces, is considered to be one of the most common Seated quarters (Larry Briggs, 1991). Gem and better examples are somewhat more elusive, however. Orange-gray toning accented with splashes of cobalt-blue and violet bathes highly lustrous surfaces that exhibit sharply struck design elements. A few small marks likely prevent an even higher grade. Population: 11 in 65, 9 finer (7/07).

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information\)
